FAQ

  • How long after a smoothing treatment can I wash my hair or do color?

With both QiQi and Cezane treatments, I recomend waiting 24-48 hours before washing.

If highlighting, we can do a smoothing treatment the same day, or book your highlights at least 2 days before. If you are depositing color like gray coverage, book your smoothng treatment no less than two days after.

*Smoothin treatments can significantly fade artificial hair color.

  • How long after a color service can I wash my hair?

I recommend waiting at least 48 hours after any color service before washing or swimming.

The hair cuticle has been opened during the process to either lighten or allow color to deposit. Waiting these two days is critcal to allow the hair shaft to recover.

  • Can you razor cut curly hair?

It depends on the curls, but yes, a razor is a great tool to create mega texture, volume and weight removal in all hair textures.

  • Do you cut kids' hair?

As a courtesy, I will cut kids’ hair if their parents are existing clients.

  • I've heard dirty hair is better for getting color. Is that true?

That is an old standad from way back when hair color was super harsh and the added oils from days old hair were a benefit to protect your scalp.

Modern hair color is formulated to be more gentle and envirnmentally conscious. That being said, excessive oil and dirt may hinder lightening or color deposit, especially when covering gray.

Please come to your color appointment with no more than two day unwashed hair.

  • What if I don't know what I want?

Consultations are always free and highy recommended if you are making a big change or you can’t decide on a style or color. You can also drop me an email via my contact form and we can go from there.

  • What if I'm late?

I get it, this is Atlanta and there is traffic and construction everywhere. I will always do my best to accomodate you under circumstances that can’t be helped. If you are excessively or repetitively late, I may have to decline or modify your service.
